EV Infrastructure Summit 2021

Published: 10 August 2021

Philip New, CEO of Energy Systems Catapult, will be speaking at the EV Infrastructure Summit on the 30th of September 2021.

As we recover from the impact of the pandemic, the UK is seeing a real push towards EV adoption, driven by a combination of government initiatives in support of its Net-Zero Target. The UK Environment Bill and the Government’s Transport Decarbonisation plan are key in relation to improving air quality and speeding up the associated decarbonisation of road vehicles. To what extent will they catalyse the transition to EVs and encourage investment in EV infrastructure?

The third edition of City & Financial Global’s EV Infrastructure Summit is being held from 30th September to 1st October, only four months before the UK Government hosts COP26, making it a particularly timely forum in the run-up to the intergovernmental discussions. The programme will focus on what the 2030 challenges will mean for the EV ecosystem and how we could move towards a charging infrastructure that works for the consumer, system and energy transition. The conference will feature insightful presentations from, and informed debate between, senior experts and government representatives on the key topics involved in the roll-out of EV infrastructure, recent developments and mid-term expectations.
