Utility Week Live Online 2020
Energy Systems Catapult is delighted to be partnering with Utility Week for the Utility Week Live Online Conference on 24-26 November 2020.
At a time when face-to-face contact remains limited, Utility Week Live’s new online event will provide a unique opportunity to bring the UK’s energy, gas and water industries together in a new and immersive, digital exhibition and conference.
Utility Week Live Online’s pan-utility innovation programme looks in detail at innovating for net zero; innovating for vulnerable customers and innovating for whole systems change. With an opening plenary from Ofgem and Ofwat, the programme also explores the necessary business conditions to take innovation through to business as usual.
Energy Systems Catapult’s CEO, Philip New will be participating in a panel debate on 24 November within the conference’s Innovation stream, exploring ‘innovating for whole systems change’, drawing on the Electric Vehicle Energy Taskforce and the Catapult’s work on electric vehicle technology and infrastructure.
Daniel Mee, Senior Manager in Energy Systems Architecture and Stephen Keating, SD & Energy Manager at Pembrokeshire County Council will also be delivering a speaking session on the Milford Haven: Energy Kingdom project, followed by a live panel Q&A on 26 November.
Lastly, our Consumer Insight Manager and consumer protection specialist, Dr Rose Chard, will be speaking about the Net Zero Leiston project that the Catapult is currently delivering in the session ‘Innovating for vulnerable customers’ on 26 November. Rose will introduce how ESC supported the Net Zero Leiston project, to be the first Net Zero Town and include opportunities for vulnerable consumers to take part. Led by EDF and the local community, this project demonstrates how innovation can be designed with local consumers’ active participation. The session will be followed by a Q&A with Denise Massey, Chief Executive, EIC; Jo Giles and Rebecca Payne, Cadent and Ashley Firth, Octopus Energy.
The Catapult will also have a virtual stand presence at the event, with a dedicated team of experts on-hand to answer any questions you might have about the projects listed above, or our other services on offer to businesses looking to drive forward the energy transformation.
