14 November: Active Building Centre – Value Proposition and Business Models workshop

The Active Building Centre and Energy Systems Catapult are hosting a one-day workshop to help decipher the value and challenges of active buildings to key stakeholders.

The Active Building Centre is an integral part of the UK’s ambition to Transform Construction and is funded under the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund. Their focus is to stimulate and accelerate national capability to deliver the Clean Growth Challenge’s ambition to at least halve the energy consumption of all new buildings by 2030.

As part of this exciting and innovative project, the Catapult is supporting to explore and develop the business models associated with active buildings.

The session aims to:

  • test and validate the value created by active buildings to different stakeholders across the construction and energy sectors, including network operators, developers, housing associations, local authorities and supply chain.
  • test the ability to finance projects, quantify revenue streams and develop solutions which add value while considering local infrastructure
  • provide an opportunity for participants to network with Active Building Centre representatives and discuss project opportunities
