Guy Newey, currently Energy and Climate Adviser to Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Greg Clark, is set to join the Energy Systems Catapult as Director of Strategy and Performance.
Guy joins the Energy Systems Catapult at an exciting time. The organisation is developing a range of capabilities and assets to help UK businesses to accelerate new products, services and business models to market across the whole energy system and will be central to delivering the ‘Prospering from the Energy Revolution’ challenge, a key part of the government’s Industrial Strategy.

Guy was previously Special Adviser to former Energy Secretary Amber Rudd. Before that he was Head of Policy at energy supplier, Ovo Energy. Prior to that Guy worked at the think tank, Policy Exchange, where he was Head of Environment and Energy.
