Have you been invited to receive a warm home prescription?

If you’re invited to the service and sign up, we help you to heat your home to a healthy temperature through winter months.

Find out how we do this below.

While energy prices are rising and cost of living continues to pressure UK households, millions of people are living with health conditions made worse by the cold.

That’s why we run Warm Home Prescription services with everyday health and energy organisations.

What is a healthy indoor temperature?

The recommended minimum temperature for your home is 18°C.

The World Health Organization and NHS recommend keeping your home at 18°C or warmer to protect your health. Living in a colder home can have negative effects, particularly if you’re older or have health conditions.

Remember, what feels warm is different for everyone. The right temperature for you is what makes you feel comfortable and healthy.
