22-21/06/2022 - Renewable UK Global Offshore Wind 2022

Energy Systems Catapult’s CEO Guy Newey will be speaking at RenewableUK’s flagship event, Global Offshore Wind, taking place from 21 – 22 June 2022 at Manchester Central.

GOW22 is a two-day conference and exhibition, organised by RenewableUK, for  members and the wider offshore wind and renewable energy industry. As the leading offshore wind event in the UK, each year, they bring together over 4,000 attendees and 140 exhibitors, from over 50 countries to network and collaborate, and further offshore wind development globally. This year their theme is focussed on delivering the next generation of offshore wind.

Guy will be speaking on a panel at 15:45pm on day 1 entitled ‘Is it time to rethink net zero market design?’

  • What impact does the government’s 2035, net zero grid, target have on the electricity market?
  • Is the current market instrument fit for net zero and a zero-carbon energy system?
  • What will the role of future system operator be?
