Who we are
We are Energy Systems Catapult Limited, a company limited by guarantee, and registered in the UK under company number 08705784, whose main place of business is at 7th Floor, Cannon House, 18 Priory Queensway, Birmingham B4 6BS (“us”, “we”, “our”). We are committed to protecting your personal information.
This privacy notice explains how we collect, use, and protect the personal data you provide when submitting an expression of interest for the ITES pilot project.
For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 2018 (the “Act”), we are the Data Controller.
Purpose of Data Collection
ITES is the flagship initiative for UK clean transport and energy innovators interested in the Indian market. The programme was launched by Energy Systems Catapult, the Indian Institute of Science, Innovate UK, the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, and The British High Commission in India in 2022 and now sits under the UK-India Net Zero Partnership. ITES is addressing key challenges around the decarbonisation of transport and energy, carrying out joint research, providing incubation support and enabling the piloting scale up of new solutions.
We are seeking to accelerate collaboration projects between UK innovators and Indian organisations and are welcoming applications from eligible individuals.
To manage this process, we will collect your personal information to:
- Assess your application
- Communicate the outcome of your application
- Provide support and information to successful applicants
Personal Data Collected
To be able to offer innovators the opportunity to participate, we will need to collect the following information:
- Full name
- Job title
- Company name
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Company address
Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data based on our legitimate interests in managing and delivering the Singapore Open Call project.
How Long We Will Keep Your Personal Data
Your personal data will be retained until the end of the project in November 2025. We currently anticipate an extension of the project until March 2026 and will retain your data for the duration of this extension, if it proceeds.
Data Sharing
Your information will only be shared internally with staff involved in the project or with third parties assisting with project delivery, under strict confidentiality agreements. We will not share your data for marketing purposes.
International Data Transfers
If your data is transferred outside the UK or European Economic Area, we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information.
Security
We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against accidental loss, unauthorised access, use, alteration, or disclosure. Access to your data is restricted to employees, agents, and contractors who require it to perform their duties and who are bound by confidentiality obligations.
However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal data, any transmission of data is at your own risk.
