SME innovators and local authorities wanted for ESCO-in-a-box market research

Published: 9 July 2020

Energy Systems Catapult is looking for innovative companies and local authorities to participate in market research on the ESCO-in-a-box franchise energy services business model.

ESCO is short for Energy Service Company and ESCO-in-a-box is an ‘operating system’ for energy services, incorporating all the systems, processes and contract templates needed to deliver energy efficiency projects to SMEs.

The standardised approach to delivery of energy services within this concept reduces barriers to entry for interested parties who are either already providing services of this nature and looking to diversify, or those who aspire to enter the energy services market but are prevented by financial and technical reasons

We’re looking for companies who are interested to learn more about the concept, understand the opportunities of a franchise approach to energy services and have a desire to help businesses reduce their energy use.

The survey is being conducted on behalf of EnergyPro, a leading energy consultancy and investment firm working with corporate and public sector clients to help make business sense of the energy transition.

The ESCO-in-a-box is part of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy funded competition – Boosting access for SMEs to energy efficiency (BASEE).
