UK–Australia open call launches for AI & flexibility innovators

Successful applicants will receive:

• travel costs grant towards flight and hotels to travel to Australia over several weeks from 9 March to 20 March 2026 to attend Climate Action Week (Sydney), Energy Networks Australia Conference (Adelaide) Energy Convening (Melbourne);
• introductions and meetings with potential Australian partners and clients;

• masterclasses and support on doing business with and in Australia

We’re looking for UK innovators that: 

• have innovations at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 6+ that are mature enough to test and trial in a live environment;
  
• have some indication of market traction e.g.,  some revenue generating activity and/or investment (exceptions may be made for late stage MVPs with strong traction/pipeline);

• are a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) headquartered or with a registered presence in the UK or Europe;
  
• can commit senior team members (C-level/director) to attend the full programme of events in all three cities (see key dates for full details).

Interviews: 19 December 2025 – successful applicants will be invited for a 30 minute interview in December and will be onboarded to the programme by the 19th December.

Phase 1: January to February 2026 -applicants will receive support from Catapult experts and will be invited to attend workshops around the use of AI for Energy.

Phase 2: March 2026 – Multi-city trip to Australia
