Electrification of Heat - Interim Heat Pump Performance Data Analysis Report
The Electrification of Heat (EoH) demonstration project is funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) and seeks to better understand the feasibility of a large-scale rollout of heat pumps across the UK. It aims to demonstrate that heat pumps can be installed in a wide variety of homes and deliver high customer satisfaction across a range of customer groups.
This report provides interim analysis of the heat pump performance data collected by the monitoring systems. The analysis will be refreshed, and additional analysis will be undertaken after the completion of the projects monitoring period in September 2023.
As well as the analysis, the report provides all details relating tohow the heat pumps were monitored, data was collected and interpreted. This includes:
Detail on the physical monitoring system,
Detail on the performance data cleansing,
Detail on the data quality checks conducted, and how the results were interpreted,
Detail on calculation assumptions made,
Detail on known data quality issues and known data biases.

This dataset is derived from the monitored heat pump performance data and provides a summary of the performance data quantity and quality and the data analysis outcomes.
This dataset provides the data at an average 2-minute time interval for each property from the point at which the heat pump was installed in August 2022. Please note, this dataset cannot be accessed via Excel.
This git repository holds notebooks which enable processing of the EoH monitoring data from its raw format through stages of cleaning, data scoring, heat pump performance calculations and analysis.
Reports, statistics, guides and case studies helping to overcome barriers to deployment and demonstrating the feasibility of a large-scale roll-out of heat pumps.
