Westminster Energy Environment & Transport Forum

Electricity Markets in the UK – Next steps for the CM and CfD auctions, decarbonisation, and competition

This conference will examine the future for electricity markets in the UK and the UK’s EMR programme.

It will be a timely opportunity for key stakeholders and policymakers to consider next steps for the Capacity Market (CM) and the Contracts for Difference (CfD) regime in light of recent developments – including the series of consultations on proposals to support the move towards low-carbon electricity generation alongside wider net-zero ambitions.

Sarah Keay-Bright, Senior Advisor Markets, Policy and Regulation at the Energy Systems Catapult will be discussing ‘Taking forward EMR in the UK – the Capacity Market, supporting market growth and decarbonisation, and priorities for policy, regulation, and implementation’ with Kathryn Bird (Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy) and Tom Corcut (Ofgem).

Register for this event on the Westminster Forum Project Website.
