MEP: Concept Design - guidance and estimators

Modern Energy Partners (MEP) adopted a specific process for developing a Concept Design time after time with the aim of ensuring outputs were not biased towards a particular solution or technical specialist.

This included developing ideas in discussion, following a standard process. It also looked to allow comparability through the use of consistent assumptions and estimators for energy and cost both to establish baselines and early expectations on potential solutions. This page shares the guidance, documents and estimators developed. These may be used outside of the formal MEP approach and still provide the benefits.
