Energy Systems Catapult is an independent research and technology organisation. Our mission is to accelerate Net Zero energy innovation.

Launched in 2015 by Innovate UK, the Catapult has built a team of more than 250 people, with a range of technical, engineering, consumer, commercial, incubation, digital and policy expertise. They draw on sector-leading test facilities, modelling tools, and data collected from our back catalogue of more than 500 research projects.

Context.

Energy Systems Catapult’s mission is to enable UK businesses to prosper from decarbonisation & transformation of the UK’s energy system. A key component of this is to deliver new products & services which delivers more impact to our customers, enabling them to meet their net zero goals.

The Product Team is focussed on understanding the complex needs of customers’ roads to decarbonisation e.g. UK Local Authorities responsible for ensuring their areas meet their net zero targets, and translating these needs into simple, innovative products and services to solve real world problems.

Net Zero Go is a unique, powerful, easy-to-use platform bringing together all the tools and support that local authorities need to develop successful, locally-focused zero carbon projects, taking initiatives from a standing start to operational and beyond.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled content administrator to manage and curate content for Net Zero Go, a knowledge system for local authorities. The role will be working with a senior knowledge manager to deliver a wide range of content types to Net Zero Go users through a salesforce knowledge and content management system.

The Role needs excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, diligence, and an understanding of knowledge and content management principles.

This role requires the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure that the content meets the needs of local authorities and eases efficient decision-making.

Objectives:

• Deliver high quality content to Net Zero Go users
• Manage a pipeline of new content and ensure publication and approval within reasonable timeframes.
• Maintain current content, ensuring updates are processed as a matter of routine

Responsibilities:

Content Management:

• Review and maintain existing content by checking for concurrency, links, tagging and reviewing for house style.
• Implement content standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across the system.
• Support delivery of updated content by editing, proofing, linking, uploading in line with content publication procedures.
• Support delivery of added content through information gathering and editing supplied content to house style.
• Contribute to content planning and working with content providers.

 Content Curation:

• Identify relevant and valuable content sources to enhance the knowledge base.
• Curate and review content submissions from internal and external sources to assess suitability for inclusion in Net Zero Go.

Review and maintain content directories, such as funding, policy and data to ensure that the most useful information is available to Net Zero Go Users.

• Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
• Work with Net Zero Go team to understand content usage, content gaps and user needs around content.
• Engage with potential content providers to understand how content can fit into Net Zero Go.

Experience:

• Proven experience in content management or knowledge management. (or the ability to quickly learn and become efficient )
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and digital asset management tools.(or the ability to quickly learn and become efficient )
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex information and data.
• Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience of collaborating with local authorities would be a benefit.

Data Retention

We will retain your personal data for a period of 12 months after we have communicated to you our decision about whether to appoint you to the role.
